How Much Money Is Enough? All The Money In The World Still Won’t By Us Immortality
Jeff Bezos makes $149,353 a minute. I wonder what goes on in the minds of humans with that much wealth and power? I wonder how they see reality, how they see life?
I wonder if they still have any fear or anxiety with all that money, if they still fear loss of their wealth and death? I wonder if having that much money really makes that much of a difference when it comes to all of our deepest darkest anxieties and fears?
I would think that if the great Pharaohs of Ancient Egypt with all their wealth and opulence couldn’t buy their immortality by trying to take all their Earthly treasures with them into death, then that was pretty much it. Like, if they couldn’t figure out how to do it, no one could.
However, it seems when it comes to this subject of wealth, humans appear to have a bottomless appetite. We seem to go after it with a fervor that suggests we think it will somehow confer immortality on us. I mean after all…, money means security doesn’t it? And the more of it we have, the more secure we are, are we not? And so then it would seem perfectly logical that there would exist some amount of money that would finally provide the ultimate security of eternal life as the “I” wouldn't there?
It all really does make cense.
