Going Back To Work During Pandemic: We Accept Death & Destruction In Exchange For Money All The Time
If we live by money, we die by it.
Because we’re dependent on the thought-system creation of money, this implies that, with it’s presence there is pleasure in the form of security, however, it also implies in it’s absence there’s pain in the form of insecurity. So people are now feeling the pain of insecurity in the absence of money, and are understandably looking to alleviate this pain by going back to work. This will undoubtedly result in an uptick in infections and ultimately deaths as has already been observed in other countries having done the same thing.
However, that we would risk, or invite death for money is not a surprise at all. We kill for money all the time. People murder one another for money all the time. From the person robbing the gas station, bank, or pedestrian at gunpoint, to the huge corporations polluting and poisoning the planet for profit, to the military industrial complex manufacturing armaments and selling them to the highest bidder. We’ve already accepted culturally that this is just something that happens and there’s nothing that can be done about it. So why should now be any different? Unless, of course we’re tired of living this way.
