Moving Around In Circles Is The Same As Standing Still

We appear to be eternally caught in the repetitive, cyclic nature of thought “assertions.”

What is the process of “asserting?” What is it that actually happens when we make an assertion?

When we “assert” anything, we’re creating something that wasn’t previously there and that we previously were not aware of. So creating something, such as a notion, concept, idea, or thought brings something into existence, and thus into our awareness that was not previously present. However, this act of creation also has a “hidden” side.

As a result of the fact that everything that exists must first come out of the “whole”, whenever we assert something in the form of a notion or idea we are also creating the opposite of this notion because when we define a notion we are in essence, cutting something out, like a pattern out of cloth. And when we remove the pattern a “cut out”, negative, or inverse portion remains. This remaining “negative” portion, although usually left behind and forgotten, is still 100% required to have the pattern, concept, idea. Therefore each half of the notion exists only in relation to the other.

This observation has very profound, deep, and potentially transformative implications for ALL of our lives on this planet.

That is the fact that any notion or idea exists only against its inverse, negative, or opposite, and so is therefore totally, utterly, completely, and wholly dependent upon its opposite for its own existence. And vice-versa naturally. This is “mutual dependence” and it is the fabric of life.

Due to this phenomenon, the act of asserting or creating something to then be experienced, also at the same time, creates the potential or possibility of experiencing the negative, or inverse assertion.

So when we think (literally) we’re only creating one thing we’re really creating two, it’s just that we usually don’t see this. And why don’t we see this? Because usually, that thing we create is something we “desire”, and desire has a tendency to create blindness. So we literally wind up going in circles, and moving around in circles which has the same effect as standing still. This is why what looks like “motion” and “progress”, really isn’t.

Furthermore, when you take something that is moving in a single direction around a point in a circle and turn it on it’s side, it looks like it’s moving back and forth in two directions from side-to-side. So moving in circles can be seen as the equivalent of moving back and forth, and moving back and forth may be seen as equivalent to moving in circles.

Move back and forth is what we do…, between the positive and negative poles of thought assertions, or around in a circle repeating the same destructive behavior over, and over, and over again. We are plagued by constant struggle, conflict, war, suffering, and sorrow as we are caught in a never-ending nightmare that is our seemingly eternal movement between the two opposing poles of pleasure and pain , or desire and fear which are by products of the identification with thought and its dualistic, and bi-polar nature.

So with the above said, if assertions move cyclicly back and forth in “positive” and “negative” directions this then implies that thought is also inherently limited in nature. In addition, this also appears to explain the cause of thought’s divisive and contradictory nature as it has no choice but to circle back in on itself as it continues to move.

And so our problem is that we’ve identified with thought, by creating mental objects, or mental images of ourselves by way of the root of all thought concepts… “I”. This assertion “I” then also creates its opposite, and thus begins all our problems. And as everything that exits must have an opposite, if this is where the source of all our problems begins, it’s also where the source of all our problems ends.

Is any of this true?

Please look to see if you can see what is being point to here for yourself. Observe like a scientist, impartially. If you’re partial to something other than what it is you’re observing while you’re observing, then you’re probably not really observing, and if you’re not observing then you have no chance of “seeing” and then really changing.
