The Whole Notion of “Personal” Enrichment Places Everything that is “Not Personal” at Risk

The whole notion of “personal” enrichment places everything that is “not personal” at risk of predation, exploitation, and ultimately, devastation.

Why?

The author encourages the reader to look into this for themselves but this is what the author sees:

Personal enrichment via the medium of “money” means that the truth is hard to come by and corruption rules the day both inwardly and outwardly (since the two are really one movement).

As long as there exists such thing as a “profit motive”, no one and no thing is safe.

It may be observed that the notion of being a “person” who can either “profit” or “loose” also gives rise to the notion of “personal” which takes its form in the belief or concept “I”.

The constant maintaining of this thought concept “I” via thoughts of the form “I [don’t] want [fill in the blank]” results in us being caught in a perpetual motion machine of sorts in that the movement in any particular direction of any particular desire also instantly creates an opposite direction as the “undesired” and fear.

And then the moving/desiring “I” experiences the fear of the opposite direction and it then continues to propel itself forward in the direction of the desire in order to escape the direction of the fear.

Again, the movement to escape from fear is itself desire, this desire then intern creates more fear and the cycle continues indefinitely and we suffer accordingly.

Is any of this true?

Please examine this for yourself without any motive, for if you have a motive it will dictate the answer.
