“Unless We Change Right Now, Tomorrow We Will Be What We Are Now” — J. Krishnamurti

All time is contained in the now. Let’s look and see together if there are such things as “past” and “future”.

What we are right now is the result of the past. We are the net sum of our past right now in the present. All of our accumulated experience is contained in the present. So all of what we are as this accumulated past(and future) we are right now. Furthermore, all remembrances of past experiences (as well as future imaginings because these too are based on the past) can only happen “now.” So the past is now.

What we are now, we will be tomorrow. We are what we have been, and what we will be is what we are now. If we don’t change right now, tomorrow we will be exactly what we are now. Unless we change right now in this very instant, we will remain what we are into tomorrow. So tomorrow, the future is also now.

Therefore the past and the future are now. Therefore there really is no such thing as “past” and “future”, but only “now”. Therefore all time is now. Therefore all change can only occur right now.

Therefore there is no “becoming.” There is no “psychological evolution” at all.

“Psychological becoming” is the enemy of humanity.

Please see below article:

Is any of this true?

Please look to see if you can see what is being point to here for yourself. Observe like a scientist, impartially. If you’re partial to something other than what it is you’re observing while you’re observing, then you’re probably not really observing, and if you’re not observing then you have no chance of “seeing” and then really changing.

J. Krishnamurti — Saanen 1984 — Public Talk 1:

If all time is now, what is action?
